Bolt Of Void is a sonically amorphous band, and a family coven, featuring interdisciplinary artists Cecyl Ruehlen, Kari Treadwell, and Nyal Ruehlen based out of Tucson AZ and Portland OR. Formed in the mid '10s they re-developed their project in 2024 from the ashes of life changes and geographical distances.
They are interested in eternally divine sound. Through ritually centering extreme noise, drone clusters, and atonal portal jumping, the trio's dense sonics are largely channeled through three expanded lap steel guitars, object obstructions, free form action, trance and chaos magick.
